Dr. Pani Farvid is an Assistant Professor of Applied Psychology at The New School. She recently relocated to New York from New Zealand, where she held a Senior Lectureship in Psychology at Auckland University of Technology. During her academic career she has developed successful teaching and research programs, as well as a wide-ranging media profile addressing social and psychological issues (see her TEDx talk on saying goodbye to binary gender). She works with interdisciplinary research teams, community organizations and policy makers across the globe. She draws on mixed-methods, discursive methods, as well as new and emerging methodologies.
