Come on a unique journey across the cosmos. We’ll begin at the beginning almost 14 billion years ago when the Universe was smaller than an atom and continue on to the present, all the while exploring its many extraordinary features. We will then look towards the future and speculate where we are all going. This voyage is perfect for anyone who has ever wondered what the universe actually is, where it came from, and where it is headed.
Prior knowledge or any technical expertise in math or science is not required. Just bring your questions and sense of wonder. Part 1 will take us through the Solar System where we will visit the major and minor planets, their moons, and many of the other awesome bodies that circle the Sun. The format of this voyage will be a PowerPoint presentation followed by time for a host of questions from the attendees.

Think Olio is here to put the liberation back into the liberal arts.
Classically, the liberal arts, were the education considered essential for a free person to take an active part in civic life. To counter a humanities that has been institutionalized and dehumanized we infuse critical thinking, openness, playfulness, and compassion into our learning experience.
