This Olio examines United States culture, politics and economics from the end of World War II to the present. From manufacturing to entertainment the United States came to dominate the world, but Empires comes at a cost. The United States ended WWII as a burgeoning hyper-power but the structures and practices that helped the United States become dominant also set the stage for the political and economic crisis of the past 40 years. This includes looking at the nature and consequences of US foreign policy and interventions and the true political and human costs.
